When I created this necklace, I chose the colors of the grassy fields of a once stripped mine site near my home. It's been years since it was a strip mine and nature has restored this site to its beauty. I often take walks on the trails that have been created by others who also enjoy the scenery. You can see the pale yellow grasses with little field wild flowers blooming among the sandy rocks. It is lovely as the bees and butterflies bounce from flower to flower and the wind gently blows across the fields of waving grasses with plumes of their own. Sometimes you can see a doe with her fawn if you get there around dusk.
This necklace is adjustable! You can wear it as a triple strand necklace 20 inch necklace or as a single strand 40 inch glass beaded necklace or yellow quartz chips. The yellow and beige tones of this necklace are very neutral over all. There are a few pastel orange mother of pearl beads and clear glass beads with a rose inside them along with copper daisy charms to give it the look of flowers in a field of pale yellow grasses much like you can see this time of the year in western Pennsylvania where this was created.
I use flexible tiger-wire for all my beaded necklaces to be sturdy. This one has two gold-tone lobster clasps for when you choose to wear it as a 20 inch necklace.
