Mountain Dufflebag Reversable Tote for the Gypsy, Boho, or Country Girl

I live in the beautiful mountains of central Pennsylvania; however much of the area that surrounds me is farmlands when viewed from a distance, the panoramic views are like a patchwork quilt with a backdrop of mountains. This is my inspiration for making this tote bag.

This bag is reversible! I can't make up my mind which side I like better. The one side is made from an up-cycled patchwork skirt in many shades of sage green. It reminds me of Spring. The outside pocket is a scene of mountains and rolling hills made from vintage textile scraps with a few modern day scraps as well. The drawstring is enclosed in a vintage trim of embroidered flowers with pinks, greens, and metallic fibers. The strap is an up-cycled macramé belt. The opposite side of the bag is a cotton canvas of colors that look like water colors in yellow, green, rose, and cream that remind me of the beach. The outside pocket on that side is also made of vintage textile scraps with a sunset scene. the strap on that side is a rosy leopard print fabric with frayed edges and a ribbon trim of lucky clovers. The interior is a nice deep 19 inches. The width of this bag when laying flat is 13 inches which makes this bag roomy for nearly anything you need to tote from the market, school, or a festival. The strap on either side makes it easy to sling over one shoulder when you carry your treasures from your journey.

This is a machine washable bag.
