Crazy Quilted Gypsy Boho Backpack Bookbag Carryall Tote

This bag was made from my vast collection of vintage materials and sewing scraps in the style my grandmother made many quilts during the Great Depression. It is amazing how you can make something beautiful out of small pieces of fabric that would have otherwise been thrown away. I can't imagine sewing all this without the aid of a sewing machine like she did, but that is the age we live in where we can get things quickly. It is no wonder she always said "good things take time."

This bag is very roomy for you to carry your books, flea market finds, laptop, change of clothes, or whatever you need to tote around for your journey. It is 20 inches deep and 16 1/2 inches wide. The back is pink upholstery grade fabric with flowers woven into the design. There are two wide velour straps to sling over one or two shoulders for comfort to carry your treasures. The inside is lined with cotton floral print of purple flowers and green leaves. There is a smaller pocket for your cell phone keys or other small items. The top is a draw string closure made with 1 1/2 inch wide grosgrain ribbon.

This bag is washable by hand with gentle soap and lay flat to dry.
